Erland Josephson died

One of Ingmar Bergman's frequent alums died February 25th at 88. He was in many of Bergman's greatest films, but his performance in Scenes from a marriage and its sequel Saraband, an astutely observed masterful series on intimate relationship, stands tall with time as one of Erland's most intricate, devastating achievements - and my favourite. A career well built, Erland. R.I.P.

Actually he died on Sunday. I meant to tell you about it but I forgot with all the Oscar frenzy.

A very talented actor, indeed.

(Also with Von Sydow nominated at the Oscar, it was quite the Bergman day, both good and bad).
