5 Response to Oscars 2012 Winners Predictions! And Winners!
Yay! I guess this duel is going to have to be settled in the sound categories. Unless we both end up being wrong. Such a predictable year it turned out to be..
Anyway, I just went on a snack run at 1 a.m. because I was craving something and it's the Oscars after all! I need some comfort food since you rather watch the Oscars with real people (pfft!) than do it with me on the chat.. SNIFFLE! They're probably not even real awards geeks!
So we both got 13/20 in the categories we both predicted! Kinda funny how we tied even though there were quite a few categories where we weren't in agreement. I kinda figured I'd lost when Hugo won both sound categories.
Anyway.. Meryl! Whoa! Never thought I'd see the day. Poor Viola Davis, she was probably deep down thinking she was really going to win it.. As most of us thought!
Other than that, Dragon Tattoo winning Editing seems like the only real shocker of the night. Definitely didn't think it had a shot at that since non-BP nominees rarely win.
Also, weren't the speeches unusually non-annoying and robotic this year? Hardly anyone got played off the stage for talking too long, and only a few started reading letters.
Real awards geeks are hard to come by. *nods*
I changed my animated vote to Rango before the ceremony, but I didn't change it here! So, really, I would've won. : deal : Editing and Actress were quite the curve ball! I'm so proud I got Documentary right! And though I didn't put it on here, I also got Saving Face right when they played the clip on TV right before the winner was announced. Kinda made me want to see it too.
I only got to see bits and pieces of the awards though, which was the downside of having to run around and deal with people and everyone talking? I didn't like much of what I saw. The opening montage was horrendously bland and bad bad. The jokes - what I could hear - weren't funny? The speeches weren't bad, you're right. I liked that woman from Saving Face's and Jean's winning speeches best. Meryl wasn't bad either. I need a DVR!
If your prediction wasn't changed here before the show, this being the official record of our predictions, it doesn't count! No cheating!
Some of us was beezee being fed!
