R.I.P. Sidney Lumet

Sidney Lumet past away this morning from lymphoma. He was a prolific American director whom I've managed to so far avoid somehow, save for a very watchable Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007). I suppose I should rent A Dog Day Afternoon some time.

Sheesh.. That's the only Lumet film you've seen? Really?

Okay, these ones are the absolute minimum must-sees:

12 Angry Men (1957)
Serpico (1973)
Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
Network (1976)
The Verdict (1982)

Many more films worth watching too, like the fun Murder on the Orient Express, Fail-Safe, The Hill, etc. but they're not mandatory viewing like the five above.
